Glensprings Ranch is a high fenced game-managed Hill Country ranch producing trophy native Whitetail deer for the last 24 years. It’s also the home of many native wildlife species including turkey, dove, quail, feral hogs, ducks, and the normal mix of varmints that include raccoons, bobcats, coyotes, and red and gray fox. Time and the owner’s stewardship have done a magnificent job of developing the native genetics within this property. There are 11 game-blinds on the property with a host of accompanying feeders and a perimeter high-fence. Every day, it is amazing when a sweep of binoculars indicates the number of trophy whitetail deer that thrive on this ranch.
Water
With a name like Glensprings, water is a major component of this place’s appeal. At the center of it all, the bubbling spring feeds into a large man-made swimming area of crystal clarity. For anyone who loves to fish, there are two lakes filled with native fish species. Earth ponds are spread throughout the property to catch drain water from the undulating topography, trapping it for later use by the cattle and wildlife. Water is the most important natural resource in Texas.
Activities
Activities include a regulation skeet range, hunting and target-practice, indoor basketball and pickleball court, horseback riding, fishing in any of the larger ponds, swimming in the spring and a small aircraft runway.
